PressureGuard® Custom Care® Convertible by Span America
Is designed to help clinicians provide excellent patient care on both flat deck and recessed deck frames, facility wide.
Flexibility has been designed into this next generation PressureGuard series. Easily convert to a powered surface with the simple addition of a control unit – an approach that can save significantly on the need for costly rentals.
Indications:
- Treatment of Stage 1-4 pressure injuries
- Patient can’t/won’t reposition frequently
- Can be positioned off the injury in at least 2 positions¹
- Prevention for high risk patients
PressureGuard® Custom Care® Convertible features:
- Converts to powered surface with simple addition of control unit
- Powered or not, Star Chamber cylinders constantly filled with air
- Can save significantly on the need for rentals
- Geo-Matt® style foam topper
- Individual foam cells accommodate bony prominences
- Head-to-foot cylinders for better pressure reduction
- Heel Slope transfers some load to more shear tolerant calves
- Creates shear-minimizing bands beneath heels, sacrum and scapula
- Helps "glide" user to original position following gatching
- Provides overall stability while offsetting friction
