If your stairs feature a change in direction, you have pie-shaped stairs, or you would like to add out-of-the-way parking for your stairlift, the Handicare 4000 can be an ideal solution for you.
We applied our global R&D capabilities and manufacturing know-how to develop the 4000 to be one of the most flexible stair lifts on the market. This twin-rail model boasts an extremely tight fit of the rail to the wall of just 6″ to leave plenty of room on even a narrow staircase. Our standard capacity 4000 uses fewer support posts for a cleaner look on your stairs, while the high-capacity version can accommodate up to 350 lb without a decrease in performance.
Standard Unit includes: Simplicity seat, 25′ track, power pack, footrest, fitting kit, two charge contacts and vacation switch
Outdoor units are equipped with the Smart Seat (Graphite) and cannot be equipped with power options, perch seat or hinge
4000 Twin-Rail Curved Stairlift features:
- Built-in charging on the top and bottom landings so the lift can still be used when the power is out
- Retractable seat belt, with optional 5-point harness
- Anti-slip footrest
- Obstacle sensor system on footrest and carriage
- Overspeed brake
The Handicare 4000 Outdoor twin-rail curved stairlift is fully waterproofed and specially designed for outside stairways with curves. It can be installed wherever you need to access a front walkway, porch, deck, or garden.

Outdoor stairlifts are suitable for moderate climates only, and may require additional maintenance. Always protect your outdoor stairlift with its cover when not in use.
